Yay yay yay yay yay
.
Yesterday was an eventful, amazing day. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Lindsay jet over to my apartment so quickly than when I told her we should get our long awaited bags, haha. I was up pretty early since work called me at 8am and cancelled my shift, but I like my free time so it doesn’t really bother me too much. Apparently Lindsay was up pretty early too so we started the day off around 10:30am by getting our nails did
. I don’t think I’ve been up so early – not to mention functioning that early in awhile. I could sleep until the end of time if I could.
So, we bought our bags and now I’m broke. But hey, you’re only young once and it’s something we’ve had our eye on for a year +. Totally worth it
.
Yesterday was also a humongous (I don’t think I’ve actually had to write that word in my life, haha) ego boost. Is there some sort of “I’m single” aura? I mean, I’m not too familiar with the single scene but it seems to me whenever I have some sort of break up I get a huge confidence boost and men just drop from the sky. They never seem to come around when you really need them to, do they? The universe must know not to bring anyone along until you’re ready to stand on your own or something… then she drops five on you.Yesterday when Lindsay and I were driving to get some lunch after we bought our bags we were stopped at a light and I look to see this guy in a tow truck parked and smiling at me. It was pretty funny; we window flirted a bit and as the light turned green me motioned to call him and pointed at the number on the truck
. It was pretty hilarious, but what the hell, he was hot and I was feeling daring so I wrote down the number and after we ate I called it. I left my number to relay to him not knowing if it’d even go to the right person. I was right. A few hours later I got a phone call and it definitely wasn’t the right person, LOL. I mean, if it had been he would have known who I was. I played it off and left it at that. Crazy enough, this morning I received a text from the right person. I guess sometimes being daring really does get you places. I’ve met a 25 year old Greek that speaks five different languages to prove it.
It’s all in the name of fun
. Anyway, today I’ve been a complete hermit and now I’m just waiting for Jeffrey to get off work while marathoning Sex and the City seasons. We’re planning on watching Paranormal Activity, but tow truck guy also said he’d text me if he was going out, lol. Last night Jeffrey and I had a blast partying with my window neighbors, so why not try to repeat it again? Speaking of Jeffrey and partying, his 20th birthday is on the 24th so he’s celebrating by renting a party bus and we’re all driving up to a club in LA this weekend. STOKED.
Oh, college.
More pictures below, and video ’cause we’re that baller
