I thought about #17 last night when it was raining, sure enough, there were about three ‘emergency broadcasts’ that day.

Merry Christmas
Tomorrow we plan on driving to my dad’s parent’s house first thing in the morning and staying the night while my mom’s parents watch the house for us. I’m actually pretty excited about Christmas
. I have no clue what my dad’s mom is going to have for me, since she refused to take anything that had to do with technology (movies, cds) on my christmas list. She claimed that the music store down there closed so there was no way she could get anything of the sort. The only thing she took off of my christmas list was a book (“Strange But True” by John Searles). Once again, I am unsurprised as to what I am getting from my parents, of course I won’t tell my mom that or it might will hurt her feelings since she works so hard to make Christmas nice. I asked for an LCD flatscreen for my computer, and thanks to my dad being loud in the morning, I know I’m actually getting it. Eeep! Anyway, my mom bought a Christmas CD for us to listen to: “Now that’s what I call Christmas”, which she let me have early so we could listen to it.
Yesterday I actually got out of the house. I went bowling with a few friends and afterwards we went to see “Meet the Fockers”, man it was funny! Besides that, I’ve been at home, having what I like to call “Movie Hours”. lol. Basically when I watch a movie I call it Movie Hour. A few days ago I bought “Dirty Dancing: Havanna Nights”
and “Save the Last Dance”. I also recieved “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” from my grandparents. Speaking of Harry Potter, the next book is due out on July 16th 2005: “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince”. I know all the fanatics out there are going crazy! I myself still need to read the 5th book, lol.
My mom is wrapping presents now for tomorrow, and I suppose I should be writing my dad’s mom her christmas/birthday card. Tomorrow we will be opening presents early before we leave, then opening other presents when we get to my dad’s parent’s house. Yay, two Christmases! Well, I must be going. I hope everyone is having a happy holiday.
:xmastree:
Ps; I just realized that my b2 time is ahead by an hour because of daylight savings. Does anyone know of a mod that could fix this? I don’t want to change the time zone because then my other blogs would be incorrect too. Let me know via email if you have a fix, thanks! Well, the b2 help board just told me to change the time difference in the options menu, so I did that. All of the previous blogs stayed the same time, while the new blogs will have the right time. The only blog I have noticed to have the wrong time was this one though, and it’s only an hour *shug*
Edit: I am now blogging from my new LCD 17″ Samsung Flatscreen!
It’s so BIG and BRIGHT! My mom let me open it early because she wanted my dad to hook it up before we left tomorrow. I’m in love with it

I’ve been looking at my site stats lately, since I haven’t for quite a long time. You wouldn’t believe how many hits I get from the most common words. My site must be getting more popular, because if you go and type “band geek” or “erika” in a search engine my site pops up as the 5th or 6th result. Most of my hits have been coming from “band geek” being searched. Although there are some odd queries that have led to my site. Most of them are random words from past blogs. From what extreme tracking tells me, I’ve been getting atleast 100 unique hits a week. I know you’re here all you band-geek lurkers!
Most of them are probably my friends that are afraid to comment or think I don’t know they’re here. Either way, I’m glad my site is finally getting some attention
. Well, I was going to talk more but lunch is ready and I’m starving.
Edit: Mehehe, cute smilies:

No school for two weeks! I can’t believe it. I’m so happy I think I might die, lol. The best part is, I hardly have as much homework as I expected. So I have plenty of time to just relax and enjoy the holidays :xmastree:. Tomorrow my mom and I are driving up to my grandparent’s house and staying the night. My grandparents are coming down the next day to stay with us for awhile during the time I have off for the holidays. My grandpa offered to buy my varisty jacket for christmas
. My godbrother might come down to visit during break for a few days also. And finally, we’re spending christmas eve and christmas day with my dad’s family
. I can’t wait, although, I can wait to go back to school. It feels like I’ve been waiting for this vacation forever!

I swear, I’m going to kill these spam bots!
Edit: I added a mod to my b2 that helps prevent spam, from what I hear it works pretty good, so I’m crossing my fingers! I also added the tutorial in the visitor section for any of you that are having the same problem with spam bots. Vwala, problem solved.

Last performance/competition of the season was yesterday! When we got there it was raining bad, and chances looked like we weren’t going to perform. Surprisingly, it rained before and after our show but not DURING our show. Warmups went by fast, and it seemed like the songs were going smoothly and with energy. Everyone was really hyped up. When we set foot on the field to do a final warmup before the 1 minute warning things were going as planned. The drum majors called us to ‘drill position of attention’ and we said our chant, like we do before every performance. Except, it was louder and more enthusiastic then ever. The crowd loved it.
DM: DRILL POSITION OF ATTENTION.
DM: FEET
Band: TOGETHER
DM: STOMACHES
Band: IN
DM: SHOULDERS
Band: BACK
DM: HEAD
Band: UP
DM: EYES
Band: WITH PRIDE
DM: WHAT KIND OF PRIDE?
Band: BLACKHAWK PRIDE!
DM: WHAT KIND OF PRIDE!?
Band: BLACKHAWK PRIDE!!
DM: IN MEMORY OF
Band: DOLFO!
DM: IN MEMORY OF!?
Band: DOLFO!!
After our extra hyped-up chant, we continued to set into our first form on the field. The show seemed to fall into place perfectly. The whole performance seemed to go by like a blur, but while we were playing I just remember thinking “man, this is so awesome!”. At the last horns down everyone yelled out a huge “HA”, and we knew that it was our best show ever. When the results were being announced, we were slightly shocked that the lowest score was around 78 point something. Our highest score hadn’t exceeded an 82, and it is quite rare to see a band perform higher than what they have scored before at finals. We came in SECOND PLACE out of the ten finalists. We were completely and utterly BAFFLED by the scores. 84.75 was our score. Colorguard placed first, and so did percussion. For once in the season, our high music score was placed overall. It was such an amazing feeling. First place was pretty much locked for the winning band from the beginning. I’m so proud of us for placing second considering the last two years we placed 4th and 6th. I can’t even express how amazing the feeling of excitement and accomplishment when you end the last note of your performance at finals and hear the crowd yell louder then they did for any other band. The band parents served sparkling cider in little plastic champagne cups for everyone after the show, to toast the final show of the season. The feedback given from everyone at that moment was nothing but positive. To top it all off, Mr. Bluto informed us of next year’s field show. Miss Saigon. Click on the link to read exactly what the show is about. At first, I had never heard of this show in my life. But after Mr. Bluto was explaining the story, I can’t wait to go out and buy the soundtrack!
Our bus was scheduled to get home at around 9:30PM, which made me happy to be getting home early for once. About 20 minutes away from leaving, the woodwind bus broke down. Apparently the engine light was blinking and the power steering went out. The bus had to pull over to the side of the road after almost getting stuck in the middle of an intersection. No big deal, right? Until we were informed that they had to send another bus to us that would take about 3 hours to GET THERE. Take that and add another 3 hours to get home. Luckily, there were food places near us, and we were allowed to go eat. Mimi and I went to eat at a pizza place that was there. About half of the bus was in there, lol. About six people pooled their money together and bought a 28 inch pizza! It was as big as the table! There was also a bar on the corner that we weren’t allowed to go into at first, but since they served food there and was also the only place with a restroom, Mr. Bluto let us go in. The bus seemed to get delayed more and more. People were busy playing pool, darts, and just chatting. Of course the drummers found a place outside and started drumming on the tables. At one point, Michelle and Dalia were arguing about the exsistance of God. It was actually a pretty funny arguement. Mr. Bluto taught us how to play an eye contact game called ‘Zoom’, and at one point was challanged to arm wrestle Tom. Everyone was laughing when Tom lost
. The bus finally arrived at 11:30PM, a full 2 hours after the other bus had gotten home. It rained on the way back and I started to sleep on and off. Paulina was singing songs at 2:30AM in the morning. It almost seemed like the bus didn’t know where it was going because we kept turning around a lot. I got home at 3:00AM…a full 6 hours after the other bus did. But, it’s one of those things you tell your kids when you’re older. “Yeah, one time our bus broke down and our band director took us to a bar..”

W00t! I finally have Paint Shop Pro again, not only that, but a better version. It only took 14 hours and 45 minutes, but hey, it was worth it. Only 19 hours and 7 minutes left until Adobe Photo Shop 7 is done downloading, lol. But like I said, it’s so worth it! Thanks, Caleb, for referring me to BearShare :)

I
Amazon.com. After ordering my spanish book online a few months ago, my parents aren’t completely hesitant about the idea of online shopping. I remember playing this game a long time ago everyday at my friend’s house across the street before she moved away! The “Norns” are so cute! A seller had it for $11.42, too. To my shock, my dad actually said I could order it. I sent an e-mail to two of the sellers asking if it would work with Windows XP yesterday. After getting two replies of “yes”, today I found that they both upped their price to $12.42
. I guess since they knew I was interested they decided to take advantage of the situation and up the price. Oh well, I placed an order with one of them before he could up the price again and the final price with shipping and handling was $15.91, which is still a good price. I don’t think they even sell this game in stores anymore, atleast, I can never find it anywhere! I’m so excited I finally found it again
.

Gobble Gobble! I was going to wait to blog until I got the results from last week’s field tournament, but I haven’t been able to get ahold of the exact scores! I do know we got an 82 point something, and for the first time this season, we didn’t get first place! We took home second, but that’s not bad. Our very last show of the season is the SCSBOA [Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association] championchips next week! We made the top 5 bands, but once again, I forgot our rank. lol. Anyway, I just got home from my aunt’s house [which is about two hours away] since we had Thanksgiving there with my mom’s family. I actually got a tiny bit of my math homework done while I was waiting for dinner to be ready, too. lol. Blah, like every weekend, I have a crapload of homework to do. My mind is drawing a blank right now… I think it’s all the food I ate earlier.

BAND
First Place: 80.0
AUXILIARY
First Place: 82.35
PERCUSSION
Was judged overall [as in all the divisions were grouped together], so naturally, the higher divisions took home the trophies, but we still won first place in our division.

Our score did actually go down from last competition, yet it was our best show yet. The music judge was being really hard, plus, we were the first band in our division to perform. We beat a couple of bands in higher divisions, though.

Gah, I’m beat :faint: . Today was a very long day for me. I had band from 7:30AM-5:30PM. We took pictures in the morning and practice started around 10AM. I’m sure my pictures will turn out like crap since the guy took them so fast, he literally took the picture and told you to get out of his way. In addition, I took two buddy pictures with my friends; some of the poses are really funny [what the heck, they were only 5 dollars each]. Brennan didn’t actually pay to be in our buddy picture, even though you’re supposed to pay for being in a buddy picture. The guy would never know otherwise, so I’m the only one getting copies since I paid for them . Celeste and I couldn’t even think of a pose, so I’m sure the picture is going to look like we have no clue what we are doing. We ended up doing the classic ‘lean on the shoulder of your friend’ thing. The other picture, however, was completely crazy since Brennan was holding me in his arms. I’m a complete picture freak, so it really irks me that I might look like crap in these pictures, lol. I had to wear my hair up, too, on account of my hair doing some weird puffy thing this morning.
Marching practice was non stop after that [okay, so we had an hour for lunch], we didn’t even go inside. I felt like we got a lot accomplished since the drill writer AND music writer were there. It’s quite unusual to meet the people who made your show [our band director usually writes the drill for our show]. Our director did get mad at the fact that there were a lot of people missing the second half of practice today, though. The flute section had a lot of holes. By the end of the day everyone was extremely worn out, and we still had to do a run-through of the whole show! Needless to say, the run-through was crap. I quote “the worst performance we had ever done in the past month”. What do you expect though, it had been a very, very long day. However we did end on a good note, by re-running the first two songs of the show. Tournament tomorrow! Our marching instructor will be there to ‘inspire’ us in the morning rehersal; and by ‘inspire’, I mean, strike fear into our hearts. Haha, but he does get us concentrated. Well, I think it’s safe to say I need lots of sleep, and that I am off to do!

W00t! Nothing like a four day weekend! Even though it’s kinda like a one day weekend since there is band almost everyday [except Sunday]. Band photos :photo: are going to be on Friday, I hope they turn out good. We have another competitition on Saterday also
, which means a whole Friday practice [after pictures] with our marching instructor :faint: . This is going to be a tiring weekend. On one hand, I have no math homework and hardly any world cultures ap homework. I’m hoping to get all caught up on my spanish homework.
I added a picture of my desktop on the sidebar over there; like it? The desktop came with the Sims 2 [I just discovered the goodies the bonus disk had today]. I’m quite fond of it, actually. I’ve only had a few chances to briefly play the game, but I love it each time [as you can tell by my last entry, lol]. Anywho, I best stop procrastinating and get something useful done!

WTF…lol. I was playing the Sims 2 and right after the grim reaper came to kill off one of my sims, he sat down to use the toilet! Wtf, lmao. It was so random I just had to take a picture of it! I guess that’s what my sim gets for wanting to ‘wohoo’ with 5 different sims.

Homecoming was so much fun last night! My feet hurt so bad by the time I got home, but it was worth it! I can’t wait until I get my pictures, I really hope they turn out good! The guy had me stand strange so I’m not really sure, but if they don’t turn out good I’m going to be really mad since I bought a shitload of wallet pictures. I also got a buddy picture with my friends. The dance itself was great, I was dancing with my friend Nasim and a bunch of guys she met at a football game. I was dancing with this one guy for practically every song, and the funny things is, I kept forgetting his name! lol, don’t worry, I finally got it right
. Well, I have to finish all my homework before Monday rolls around.

The homecoming football game was great! And of course, our school won the football game…which is only important since it’s homecoming. lol. Now something very interesting; the other school brought their pep band. And you know what else is interesting? Their school uses the same fight song we do (Sons of Westward). So, we get up in the stands, and naturally, play our fight song when we score. Well guess what song they play right after us? That’s right, the same song! So, we play Tequila. Again, they play the same song after us! So then we play Go Big Blue. And again, they play the exact same song. Oh, it was on! lol. So everytime they played Sons of Westward the whole band yelled our school’s chant really loud, and everytime they played tequila, we yelled out our school name. Hahah, it was so funny. All is fair in the bando world. Their pep band wasn’t as large as us either. You couldn’t hear any of the woodwinds at all, the brass and precussion dominated (they had a lot of precussion). So after they finished playing another song, the whole band stood up, put their hand to their ear, and said “HUH!?” really loud. lmao. Battle of the bands; we’ve never had one of those before, atleast I don’t recall. It was so much fun, tehehe. No one ever said a little competition hurt anyone.

Ugh, I had a shitty day. Hell if I care that I’m swearing. Well, actually, I didn’t really have that bad of a day come to think of it. I just felt different somehow by the end of the day. I’m not sure why. Maybe I’m just being moody again .
Band didn’t make my day any better at all either. Trying to juggle this year’s classes and band is starting to get out of hand. I would never drop band because it is my life, yet I find myself depressed and wanting to quit while I’m there lately. I’m beginning to finally see that the leaders do act supercilious. Supercilious; my new word. It means to act above or better than someone else. It’s quite annoying when a leader says “BE QUIET” only to turn around and start talking to another leader, or say “TEN PUSH-UPS IF YOU DO THIS WRONG”; only when they mess up they don’t have to do the push-ups. Just an observation I happened to make while I was silent today. Yeah, when I’m having a bad day I tend to not talk much. Although, the one time I did open my mouth to ask a simple question, I was told to quite rudely to be quiet. I mean, a leader can simple say “Please be quiet”, but no. “Stop talking, I’m not trying to be rude but stop talking, it’s not just you that’s going to be blamed, it’ll be all of us” All topped off in a intentiously rude tone of voice. And guess what happened next, they turned around and starting talking to someone else. I find myself thinking that band isn’t as fun as it was last year. People are rude and snippy to eachother this year. There isn’t one second that goes by where one person isn’t correcting another’s mistakes in harsh tones. It’s really starting to get old. I mean, I love band. Music is my life, but I feel that sometimes people are trying to make it less fun on purpose sometimes. In reality, no one is better than anyone else. Just because you are a higher rank than someone else doesn’t mean you should take advantage of your so called “powers” and do ridiculous things to make others feel inferior. *sigh* Just a thought. To end in a semi good note; our band did rank 2nd place at our first tournament, we only missed first by a tenth of a point. Our drumline took first place and our colorguard ranked third.
Homecoming is on Friday and the band is performing, I really hate our hats this year since they make me look stupid. Saturday is the homecoming dance and I’m supposed to be going to buy my dress in a matter of minutes! I might treat myself to a hat also… I just discovered that I indeed, can look good in a hat. Gosh, I feel like expenses are adding up… I mean, the important things…AP exam fees are already due. Band fees. I also had to buy a spanish book from amazon.com; because the school doesnt have enough to check out to all the students and if I don’t have one I know I won’t pass 3 honors. Bleh. I’m not made of money yanno. I’ve just wasted valuable homework cramming time, *sigh*. Now you see what my life has been like so far this year! Gosh, it sounds so pesimistic. It’s really not that bad, I’m just in a bad mood.

GEEZ! Long time no blog. Shit…VERY long time no blog. To make a VERY VERY VERY long, stressful, angry story short: Computer died, we bought a new one. Netzero customer service sucks ass. I can’t believe I lived without computer! Anywho, I have been very busy lately and I hardly have time for anything. Band is doing well, for all of you bandos out there! Our first tournament is on Saterday, wish us luck! We have out first 3 songs of our show (out of 4) completed and I’m ready for a new season! Although I don’t like the hats very much this year. Anyway, I really really REALLY hope all of my computer troubles are gone. As I write I am thinking about how I am going to finish my homework and redownloading AIM to the new computer. I have homework up to the roof almost every night, it’s crazy. I’ll find time to fix up this site sooner or later, I would never dream of abandoning it! Oh, and speaking of the site, no more webcam…sorry! Now that I have windows XP my old webcam won’t work with it. I promise to revamp everything as soon as I can, but it might be awhile. Please don’t lose hope in me! I’m off to check all my emails….yikes, I’m afriad to look! lol. Well, I must be off, it’s glad to be back…..AGAIN!!! LMAO

My computer is FINALLY working properly! It kept freezing every two seconds and giving me a million blue screens of death, so we had to take it to the shop yet again. I learned one valuable thing while it was gone though, I indeed CAN live without my computer! For a limited amount of time, that is. I attempted to make a new layout with iframes before my computer was sent off to the shop, but I gave up on it for the time being since my computer kept wacking out on me. I might put it up later when I have time to re-code things to fit iframes, but until then, if I have time to make a layout at all, they will be skins like this one. Sorry if there isn’t a new layout for awhile (trust me, it hurts me more than it hurts you, lol), but I am going to be very, very busy this school year. Although if you’d like to make me one…. ;) School officially started today, although it felt like school was already in session because of band rehersals. Speaking of band, our show is doing quite good so far.. much better then this time last year. We have a game this Friday, YES, the FIRST week of school.
My schedule is quite boring this year… and there’s no room for a concert band class!!! *cries* Oh well, I’ll survive, after all… I do have 7th period marching band, and then jazz band after that. Curious to see my schedule? Alright, but I’m warning you…it’s awefully boring and hard this year.
First Period: World Cultures AP; yes, I said AP.. as in Advanced Placement. This is perhaps my hardest class this year and I plan on having work piled up to my forehead all year—back to back with band rehersal, of course. AND I have it first period. Joy.
Second Period: Music Theory; the IB program is making me take this class… it’s because of this I can not be in a band class! I hear it’s supposed to be fun though…although the teacher can have a split personality. She makes up songs for everything *eyebrow raise*.
Third Period: Spanish 3 HP; HP meaning honors placement. My spanish teacher seems really mean… er but he claims his passing rate is 100% so I guess that’s good. It’s in a portable though… I don’t like them… although, the AC is always on, and believe me, that’s nice here.
Fourth Period: English 2 HP; ah yes, another honors class. Engish is easy for me so it should be fine. Nothing much to say here… the teacher seems nice.
LUNCH
Fifth Period: Chemistry CP; CP meaning college prep. This class is supposed to be a hard one also, I have a new teacher athough he seems to be a pretty cool guy.
Sixth Period: Advanced Algebra CP; Oh gosh, I absolutely hate math…. and to have it last period!? Great. Yanno, I woke up this morning thinking to myself, “I better not have math last”.. I guess I jinxed it. Concert band used to be sixth period :( It really sucks walking right PAST the band class to go to a math class.
Seventh Period: Marching Band (first semester); before you ask, a seventh period class is held after school if you didn’t already know (there are only 6 classes in a day). Atleast I’m still in band this year, even though I don’t have a class! Don’t be surprised if you hear a lot about band during the next couple months because band is practically my life during the season. Rehersals are after school until 4:30; or 5-9 on Tuesdays; sometimes on Saturdays also. And you thought it was easy to be a bando
Seventh Period: Jazz Band or Wind Ensemble (second semester); I haven’t decided of the two yet…. depends if I have the time. I would love to pursue learning the trombone, but I would also love to be in wind ensemble…. hmmm choices, choices.
… and that’s my typical school day! Whew, I know I know… it took the breath out of me just explaining everything! Now, all my loyal commenters, do your thing! lmao.

Thanks:Adam Mike Mirna Caleb marie
Hey all! I’m finally back! I had so much fun on my 2 week vacation! I visited seven states! California (lol), Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. Fun fun fun! Oh wow, I’m much too tired at the moment to explain it all right now. You have no clue how glad I was to use a toliet built into the ground, or take long warm showers with no time limit [or having the water turn freezing halfway through] again! I’m never leaving civilization for more than 2 days ever again! I did get to see and do many things I haven’t even seen/done before though. The trip was well worth it, but I shall go into more detail later. I came home to find my poor computer not working! Gah! Which explains why I was gone the extra week, if anyone noticed-lol. Anywho, my dad and I took it into a computer shop that was able to fix it in about an hour! Now I have a nice working computer with lots more RAM
I’m busy replying and deleting the crapload of emails I got while I was away [and to the person who swears I'm not 15: how old do I look?]. Anywho, like I said, I’ll get into the actual agenda later when I’m not running around and catching up on things! OH, and thank you ADAM for your text message!!

Okay guys, I’m leaving for Montana TOMORROW! I will be gone for 2 weeks, so no updates until I get back! Right now I’m scurrying around trying to pack things. My bed has been engulfed with clothes, and I’m trying to count my outfits and stuff like that. There’s a lot of last minute panic, making sure I don’t forget anything and all.We will be driving up there and making stops in other states as well, I will be seeing more states then I have in my life! This is going to be oodles of fun
. My room looks like a bottomless pit…. okay maybe not that bad, but if you had OCD [haha, okay, I don't really, but I swear it's like I do] like me, then it would look like it to you also. I’ve never been away from my house for so long, especially alone, without my family! This is gonna be great
, tehehehe. Gosh, I’m bringing my flute and marching music with me also so Brianna and I can work on our field show music together. I memorized a few runs today in the first song, which is a step in the right direction. I have to brush up on my scales also, since I’m going to be trying for wind ensemble this year. Everything is on me making wind ensemble! Otherwise, no band class for me since I don’t have room in my schedule. I haven’t even started my two summer assignments for English 2 Honors and World Cultures AP
. Just the thing I want to do, procrastinate on two very important, hard classes. Smart me. lol. Anyway, back to packing for me before my computer freezes AGAIN. While I’m gone, ya’ll can send text messages to my phone [via AIM] if you’d like
. The screen name is TheSexyBlur, and it’s logged onto AIM 24/7. I may not reply though because it costs me 10 cents to reply to messages, but believe me, each message I get makes me very happy! lol. Make sure you let me know who you are though, hehe. With that said, I’ll see you all in 2 weeks! XOXO

lmao, I just got back from the dentist and I’m pretty sure they numbed me more… because I can’t feel my cheek and I talk with a slur
. Just thought I’d report that I lived.

I need to stop blogging so late
. Bleh, nothing to say really… except I get drilled again tomorrow [yay]. My mom and I have been shopping like crazy for Montana [I leave on Friday or Saterday]. I’m most likely going to spend the night at Brianna’s the night before also so we can leave early. It’s funny, I have a size 5 pair of jean shorts that I swear fit me, but when I went to Old Navy to try on jeans I was a size 2
. Er.. weird. I actually found 2 pairs of jeans that fit me, it’s a miracle! I never find jeans that fit. I found the secret to getting them to fit, get the pair that say: size 2 “SHORT”
. Those were at the very top too.. er, if we’re so short, why put our jeans on the top rack? lol. I also bought a lot of sleep wear, since I don’t really have any real pj’s. I just sleep in giant tshirts, lol. I also bought 2 new bathing suits, boots, and other misc items for traveling. Did you know that if you buy a bathing suit anywhere else besides Target or Walmart they are really expensive? I had no clue…
. Haha, I’m such a loser. Anywho, I’m off to bed once more. Leave comments, I like those

The Hacker Hatelisting has a new layout
I’m off to bed! G’night!

My my, aren’t we a little pessimistic lately? Who cares. You know what pisses me off at the moment? My stupid computer and people who are way too giddy about taking drivers ed. Do I care to elaborate? No.

Yep, another new skin already! I fixed up the font on the last one a bit, but for now I have made the newest skin default. Click here if you can’t see it. Anyway, I better be going before my computer freezes AGAIN. In fact, it has frozen so many times I started taking count. So far it has frozen 18 times and I have gotten 15 blue screens of death since 5:25 PM
. You can imagine how much work it took for me to finish this new layout! Anywho, this one took me awhile so I hope you like!
Wednesday, July 21st, 2004|4:54PM PST- 7 comments
Bah, finally, a new layout! You have NO clue how long it took me to coordinate the colors
. Anywho, I’m not sure if I like it that much, please tell me you do- lol. I seriously need to get a life and stop nit picking at my website every 5 seconds! If you can’t see it, click here. I’m out

I just got back from the dentist and the entire right side of my face is numb. Eh, it wasn’t that bad and I’m proud of myself for not being entirely scared. I was fine until I sat in the chair, then I started to shake from being so nervous. I eventually calmed down 2 injections later…I think the scariest part was me freaking myself out, lol. The needle felt weird [and was in there for a hell of a long time! TWICE.] but it didn’t hurt. The only reason why he numbed me twice was because I was so scared about the whole thing the last time I was there. He also fixed my bite by sawing down a few teeth, although I can’t really tell right now since my face is numb. I keep drooling on myself and biting my tongue
. Bah, I still have to go back next tuesday so they can numb the other side of my face also [fillings on the other side]. Fun… although just because I’ve had it done once doesn’t mean I won’t be just as scared the next time, lol.
As you can see I got tired of the ‘las palmas’ layout, so I trashed it. It was a random thing really. I’ve also been having these random moments that makes me want to delete everything on this site except the blog….but I doubt that will happen. Half the fun is having all the content and stuff. I made a new layout earlier, the image turned out really cool but I can’t seem to make the layout look good with the colors
. I might just make a new one.. even though I really don’t want to, but, you know me- I can’t rest until I’m satisfied!
Tuesday, July 20th, 2004|12:10AM PST- 1 comment
I already hate this layout…. as you can see I’ve made some minor adjustments to it (don’t worry, the content is still here). It’s getting late so I can’t just make a new one… maybe.
EDIT: Default skin is now Memories. Can’t see it? Click here.

I think I actually managed to cut down my internet time today, how am I ever going to survive when I’m gone for 2 weeks in Montana? That’s right, my dad said I could go!
I couldn’t believe it myself, lol. My mom and I are going to Super Walmart [evil] to buy a few things for the trip. IE: D batteries for my radio/flashlight [it's the coolest thing!], AA batteries for my CD player [for the looong drive there], sweats, and a sleeping bag. Today we went to Besy Buy to check out the details on my camera. Turns out that the thing doesn’t have a zoom feature- well, it DOES, but each time you zoom the quality of the picture distorts
. Then, it turns out I need to buy a memory card [$100 for 100 pictures]. I thought it would hold way more than 100 pictures! Plus, I thought I’d only be spending $210 maximum. We had to leave without it since I didn’t have enough money, plus, the camera turned out to be not that great anyway. On the way out I bought Avril Lavinge’s new CD instead, lol. Now that I think about it, I don’t really need a digital camera. I’m fine with those disposable ones instead. I mean, if I got a digital one I’d be afraid to take it anywhere. If it got lost or stolen, I’d die since I paid $300 for the thing. I’m not exactly wanting to leave the thing on the band bus either. It’s sad that you can’t even trust your own ‘family’! Last year, Paulina’s portable DVD player was stolen off the band bus while we were at a competition. It had to have been a colorguard or band member who did it, sad to admit. Amazingly someone returned it in her locker about a week later with a note saying sorry. Still, that’s sad to know. Atleast I don’t have to worry about getting something stolen….er, other then my cellphone.., but everyone seems to have one of those. Heh. I’m counting the days until Tuesday, the day I get my first fillings. OH, speaking of those.. I get to go back to the dentist 3 more times
. They are doing fillings on two seperate occasions [great, if I hate it, there is no way I'm gonna want to go back to do it again!], then another day for him to fix my jaw bite [he has to adjust a tooth or something so my bite is even]. Oh joy. I hope you could see the sarcasm in that one
. Bleh, I don’t want to think about it…. atleast I got my CD.

Did anyone watch the premiere of The Assistant? I did, I stayed up and watched it at 12AM last night since I couldn’t sleep. Every summer my sleep cycle gets severely messed up. Anywho, I think Andy Dick is hilarious. The fact that he refers to his “kids” as “bitches” just adds to the humor. You just gotta love him for being so rude. Summer days are starting to get boring and I find myself watching more and more reruns of the same program day after day. I rented some movies for me to watch tomorrow though: Lion King 1 1/2,Scary Movie 3, and this other movie about climbing mountains in the snow (my mom thought it looked interesting). I need to start working on my summer assignments too..AP World Cultures: 1st book chapter, English 2 Honors: read “A Doll’s House” by Henrik Ibsen and write an essay about women’s social roles in the book. I also have to get to memorizing next year’s field show music. I might be leaving for Montana for 2 weeks with my friend on the 31st. If I do, I need to get those assignments done before I leave! If I go, I’ll be seeing more states in 2 weeks then I have in my entire life. The only thing that is stopping me is my dad saying no, but I’m not sure on the answer yet. He probably will say no though
. Oh, I should be getting my digital camera tomorrow! I can’t wait!

Have you ever felt like you have the wrong emotions at the wrong times? I feel like crap right now. I just got back from the dentist. I never really particularly hated the place either. What can I say, the toothpaste makes me want to gag and so does the smell of those gloves so close to your face. It’s quite annoying when they accidently poke you with one of those cleaning tools too. My eyes kept watering all the while, making it worse. I haven’t been to the dentist in awhile, so I had a lot of crap on my teeth. So much, in fact, I was lucky that I didn’t have gaping cavities. I have good genes, or so said. I do, although, have the honor of getting my first fill. You could see the look of joy on my face when they told me. Actually, I was freaked out by the thought of a needle going into my mouth. Yeah, I know, I’m a huge wuss but I can’t help it. My jaw is also slanted slightly, which explains why my jaw used to hurt. Offtopic, but I just felt an earthquake... In addition, I have one tooth that is starting to slant. Now, I’ll get the fills, but I’ll be damned if you get me to wear braces. I don’t think I’m one of those people that braces will actually look good on. I have no clue what they have to do to fix my jaw slant, but if it involves pain I’ll probably back out. When I say jaw slant– I mean that when I bite down, one side of my mouth touches the bottom teeth before the other. I’m not sure when I’m getting that fixed, if I decide to at all, but guess when I get to have my fillings done? Next Tuesday. Yes, plural. Fillings. Oh joy! Needles in my mouth next Tuesday! People keep telling me fillings don’t hurt that bad, but do I listen? No. Why me. And why does my mom have to be so harsh when I get freaked out about it? It just makes matters worse. Don’t you hate it when parents yell at you saying “Why are you so upset!?” then it just makes you more upset, so then they ask “What’s wrong now!?”. After awhile you don’t remember what you were upset to begin with in the first place. My teeth slightly hurt at the moment, but I guess that’s normal after any dentist visit. I plan on looking semi-nice next time I go, and a little more peppy for that matter so people don’t think I have problems or something. God Damn, it’s not my fault I wasn’t feeling too thrilled about the stupid needles that get to be poked into my mouth. Just because I wasn’t jumping for joy doesn’t mean I need medication.

This is my future digital camera. I’ve finally found a good one that isn’t too far out of my reach! It’s a Sony Cybershot 4.1 Megapixel Digital Camera , you can click the link for more information! My cousin has a camera similar (if not the same) and she says it’s a good brand. The only thing is, if I buy this camera, then I’m broke! Oh well, I usually save my money only to blow it on something expensive. I’ve been wanting a digital camera for awhile now though
. I promise to not touch my money after this! lol. I need to save for college, although I do have a whole box full of spare change. I’m too lazy to count out change, which is a good thing because then I know I won’t spend it. I’m hoping to get this camera on friday before the sale ends, and after a cash a few of my checks
.

Tonight has been so stressful! I almost lost my third internet account tonight. My third. Don’t you just feel like everything bad likes to happen to you sometimes? Yeah, that’s how I felt about twenty minutes ago. I installed Panda Active Scan on my computer and got rid of a virus; I’m surprised I only had one. Then I changed my e-mail password to ensure my hacker wouldn’t be able to access my account anymore. Oh did the trouble begin. I couldn’t log into anything and I was worried that if I logged off I wouldn’t be able to get back on again. You know me, that would just kill me. Well, it was getting late so I just decided to log off. Out of curiousity I logged on again to see if it would let me. The first time, it logged me on, then gave me an error that it was unable to access my server. Okay. So I tried again. Strange enough, it worked. The weird part is that when I try to log into my email account (not my site one, so don’t worry) it won’t let me
. Talk about a possessed internet service. I was sure not going to wait on the phone for 3 hours just to talk to a real person who would tell me “well, you have to talk to technical support– of course that’s $1 a minute.” for the THIRD time. You have no clue how glad I am that my internet is still here *hugs it*. Now, if I can only fix the mysterious things that won’t work..

A girl and guy were speeding over 100 mph on the road.
Girl: Slow down. I’m scared.
Guy: No, this is fun.
Girl: No it’s not. Please, its too scary!
Guy: Then tell me you love me.
Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!
Guy: Now give me a BIG hug.
Girl: *hugs him*
Guy: Can u take my helmet off and put it on? It’s bugging me.
In the paper the next day: A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of break failure. Two people were on it, but only one person survived. The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his breaks broke, but he didn’t want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him and felt her hug one last time, then had her wear his helmet so that she would live even though it meant he would die. No one really knows what tomorrow holds in store for them. You might not live to see the next day, so take 5 minutes to tell someone you love them. You never know what day will be your last.
Edit: Look what I just ran into, isn’t it just the sweetest thing?
Edit: Happy 4th!

I had my first pedicure today, it felt so good! lol. I tell you, I might be an addict when I grow up. Anyone in marching band…I recommend it, although I haven’t met a guy yet that had the guts to walk into a nail place to get their nails done, lol. My feet usually hurt extremely bad during marching bad, along with my back. Nice vibrating chair with someone massaging your feet,
, makes all the troubles go away! lol. Plus my feet look pretty with a french manicure, kill two birds with one stone. There is a local Game Stop near the nail place also. I swear, I would so go into that place to buy some games for my N64…if only 30 year old guys that can’t get laid didn’t hang out in there. I had to go to the store afterwards, which I wasn’t really looking forward to since there is this one guy there that has a crush on me or something. He follows me, or so it seems 0_o, poor guy, I hope he’s not reading this. lol. Anywho, my mom and I made up a boyfriend for me just in case he was there, I know.. I’m mean, but I don’t want to hurt his feelings! Just in case your wondering, my ‘boyfriend’ is David Kennedy and we’ve been going out for four months. lol. Anyway, I kinda lost track on what I was saying since I’m talking to a couple of people over AIM. Dinner time is soon so I better be cutting this short!

What the hell am I going to do for college? I have no clue where I want to go or what I want to major in. I’m going to be a sophmore, so I have to get my crap together and figure things out soon. Whenever someone asks me what I’m going to do I just say, “something with music or language arts”. I had a meeting with my counsler today at school, after missing the first meeting due to not getting the letter until after the date had already passed. One of the downsides of having a P.O. Box. I was afriad to change anything though because to do that I have to go through it with the IB counselor to make sure all the classes I change are still apart of the IB curriculum. If possible, I’m going to try to get Advanced Algebra Honors changed to CP because that class is one HARD class. A lot of IB students take it and switch out at first semester, then do good in the CP class. I’m going to also put in a word to the IB counselor that Wind Ensemble should be in the IB curriculum, since it is afterall, an honors class also. I really don’t want to take that class 7th period with all the other things I have going on next year. It would be nice to have it as an actual class period, yet I doubt that will happen.
So basically, to sum it all up, I know my options for college, living, ect- but haven’t made any solid plans on what I want to do. I want to make sure that whatever decision I make, I’ll be happy. I don’t want to end up with a job I hate in the future. As for living.. I could live at home and save up my money for the future while going to a college around California (a suggestion from my mom, since A: she doesn’t want me to move away, and B: she lived on her own in college and wishes she would have saved up her money instead of paying bills with it.) I highly doubt I will find a college I am truely happy with if I just look in one place. I don’t want to limit my options. I could get my own place, with a roomate. I’ve already made the decision that when I go off to college I am going to get myself a kitty companion. lol. Why a cat? I’ve always wanted to get one really, but my parents don’t like them. With college, cats are pretty much easy to care for since all you basically have to do is feed them and clean the litter box. If you ask me, cleaning a litter box sounds much better than cleaning a whole backyard of dog droppings. Of course, I would have to get her de-clawed and I would have to take allergy medicine since I’m slightly allergic. Cats require less attention than dogs and it would be overall easier to take care of, in my opinion. I should make a list of things I need to prepare for, plans and such for college. Now all that I have all the little bits figured out, aka the unimportant stuff, I have to find a college and figure out a major.
I made a lovely new layout as well as skinned everything in a matter of 3 hours!
Tell me what you think! I’m going to bed now! [EDIT] I fixed the skinning errors, and have officially re-opened band-geek! I also fixed a few other little errors so everything should be just peachy now! Tell me what you think about the new layout! [/EDIT]

I should be going to bed soon, but I figured I would talk about my uneventful day- Joy! Hope ya’ll don’t mind randomness, it’s one of the many things I’m good at, that and being freakishly picky about organization. With that said, here we go.. Oh, don’t ask about the title, lol. Man, today I worked my butt of in summer school. It seems like today was the most work we have ever had! This is my last week. Thank goodness I’m not taking second semester, although I will miss having Crystal sitting infront of me and this cute dude sitting behind me. Although I do believe that cute dude, also known as Josh, will be in my World Cultures AP class next year. Now I have a good excuse to call him during the summer.. lol! I’m not saying I completely like him either, the new year hasn’t even started
! I’m watching Road Rules Extreme on MTV right now. Man, some of the things they make the people do is just down right mean! I’m feeling sick just watching them eat some of this crap.. Oh, I got my report card in the mail today. I did really good actually, and now that I have an A in geometry (since I’m taking it in summer school), I’m doing really good! It turns out my computer teacher truely was stupid, he forgot all about me sharing some of my timed writings with Aaron. I was seriously stressed about that for the longest time. I am slightly pissed that I got a B in that class though..and even more pissed that he didn’t give us enough time to finish the final. There were 2 parts to the final, a written (which was long and hard), and a computer part (which turned out to take 10 mins to do and was really easy). Guess what he did? He gave us the written final on a 1 hour non-block day, and the computer final on a 2 hour block day. Idiot. He wouldn’t even let me finish the stupid written final either, so I just sat there for the remaining hour and forty five minutes doing nothing. I swear, he was setting us up for failure or something. I’m glad that class is over with. I might die from stress next year with all of my classes. I get no electives either! Next year’s classes are.. *drumroll*..
Spanish III Honors
Chemistry (Honors?)
Advanced Algebra Honors
English II Honors
Music Theory
World Cultures AP
(and 7th period marching band first semester, possibly wind ensemble second)
I don’t know how I’m going to survive those hard classes with marching band practice every night. There is no time to eat dinner or even take a shower…let alone do lots and lots of homework those classes require to pass! Gah. I’ll worry about that as is comes. It’s easier to take it that way. Anywho, hope you enjoyed my randomness-turned-school-talk, I better be off to bed now!

Just sittin’ here watching MTV..tomorrow my mom and I are going to Petco to get some more fishies for my tank, anyone know of some good fish names? lmao. Anyway, in the past two hours I’ve been up I haven’t really been doing much. Although, I did make this button for BGB:

I’ll be around the house all day today, most likely doing nothing- lol. I might be going to Montana with my friend Brianna in August for two weeks
. If my dad lets me that is.. The gardeners are here right now and my dogs are barking like crazy
. I’m also watching the Nick and Jessica Variety Hour on tv, lol. I know it’s sorta lame, but I liked it! I never got to see the whole thing either so now is my chance!

I would have blogged sooner but I really had nothing to say. Oh, and I’m not too pissed about my exboyfriend getting on my nerves anymore. I met this really nice guy in my summer school class and today I got his phone number , lol! So far we are just friends though . Anyway, in the meanwhile I made a new layout for the hacker hatelisting and I also converted the cactus cooler fanlisting into tables. The layouts turned out quite nice actually, much better than before! I’m looking forward to my three-day weekend! My mom and I are going to run over to Target so I can get a 200 page notebook for my world cultures AP class (the first chapter is due on the first day of school). Hmm, maybe we can pick up some smoothies from Surf City Squeeze while we are over there..yum! Anyway, I better be going since my mom just got home. Adios!

Caleb’s back! Yay!
Just a quick blog… Today was mostly running around, but I did however, get to go to Best Buy to use my gift card I got for my birthday. I bought, 50 first dates soundtrack, Rent soundtrack, Moulin Rouge DVD, and The Nightmare Before Christmas DVD. I’m so excited I finally found that movie! I’ve been looking for The Nightmare Before Christmas since December! The 5 DVDs went missing in action, and today there were 2 left. I can’t believe I found one! In addition, my mom and I rented a bunch of movies too.. lol. Thank goodness I don’t have any homework. That reminds me… it’s already Saturday evening..school on Monday

I’m having a great day off today. Summer school goes through Mon-Thurs, so I get Fri-Sun off! Yay! One week down, two more to go. The first couple of days were really easy and I even got an A on my first test! Now, the geometry is starting to get harder.. gah! So far I have an A in the class though.. woah
Me, an A in a math class? lol, that’d be amazing if I passed with an A or B. I’m horrible at math.
I just woke up around 10AM, so I got to sleep in for awhile without totally wasting my whole day. My mom rented 50 First Dates and Charlie’s Angels 2 for me to watch today. I hear Charlie’s Angels 2 wasn’t that great, but I don’t care… I want to see it anyway, lol. Tonight is the last night of Rookie Band Camp before the real stuff starts in August, as well as the “Rookie Concert”, where the freshman as well as returning members/leaders play together. This is the first year that we’ve had our show music for Rookie Band Camp! This year’s show will be the broadway musical Rent. The music is really cool, actually. I hear that we are going to have a rock and roll band with the pit, and everyone will get to sing some lines right before the first song starts. It’s going to be cool! I’m not looking forward to the long practices, but the performances are always so much fun! But, doesn’t everyone feel that way? Practices suck, but performing is fun- lol. Hopefully I’ll find a cuddle buddy for the bus rides this year
… So far no one strikes my interest though,
. Well, I’m going to go watch my movies before I have to get ready for band practice.

Ugh, I finally fixed my index page! I accidently overwrote it and its backup copy a few days ago. Don’t ask me how I accidently overwrote both, lol. I think I’m going to be slightly hesitant to install new hacks on BGB from now on..

I just got home today from my aunt’s, as some of you may already know. My mom and I drove up there Saturday morning. We got out of the house about two hours later then my mom had expected. I knew we’d never get out of the house on time, we never do. lol. When we got in the car I started to break out with hives… very mild though, since it was only on my legs. We decided to get breakfast from McDonalds and then go back home so I could take some Benadril, which delayed our departure even later, lol. The medicine made me sleep almost the whole way. We finally arrived and unpacked our things- said a quick hello to my aunt, uncle and Melissa (my cousin)- and then were off to visit my grandparents. My grandmother was still getting ready so my grandpa took us for an ice cream at Costco. I wasn’t really hungry, but I ordered something anyway so he wouldn’t feel bad. By the time my mom and I got back to my aunt’s house, my other cousin, her husband, and her newborn baby were there. It was the first time I got to see little Xavier! I even got to hold him! We have plenty of pictures
. The whole family came over for dinner, and so did one of Melissa’s friends. My aunt made a cake for my grandpa’s birthday, she showed me how to properly frost it and everything. She is quite the little Mrs. Martha Stewart.. except without the lawsuit part, lol. Melissa and her friend ended up going out dancing around 12AM, so I read some of my HP5 book until I fell asleep. The next morning I woke up as my aunt was making breakfast. After we ate, my mom, my aunt, Melissa, and I went out shopping. They took us to the “ghetto” swap meat. Yeah, that’s what they call it, lol. Everything was really cheap there and I did find some cute things! So many shops were selling pets such as birds, turtles, lizards, puppies, and bunnies. I felt so sad for the pets because they were in the heat, most of them were illegal to sell also (because they were so little).. I also started to miss my old rabbit when I saw all the cute bunnies for sale
. My cousin is a big fan of The Lakers, so she spotted out a cute spaghetti strap Lakers shirt for me. I bought it, along with a few more cheap bobbles. From the swap meat, we went straight to Old Navy to get a few things. My aunt had given me a giftcard for that store about a year ago… for my fourteenth birthday (lol), I still hadn’t used it because the Old Navy where I live closed down. I got a lot of things for the new school year there
. By the time we got home the whole family was arriving for lunch, so we ate with everyone and then said our good byes. Now that my mom has a working car, we’ve been able to visit them more often. I’m glad. The car ride home was a long one. Long and boring. When we got home I immediately unpacked everything..it feels good to be unpacked and organized again, lol. And that leaves me to the present.. I’m online writing about my time and checking up on my mail and such. BGB got a new member, so I’m very happy
. I’m probably going to go take a shower now, as well as get things ready for my first day of summer school & rookie band camp tomorrow.

Ugh.
My computer is being stupid lately. I swear, this is the worst it has ever been. Yesterday, I downloaded a free antivirus from grisoft.com (or something like that) in attempt to get rid of this trojan virus that seems to be letting hackers have fun with my computer
I hate hackers. Go join my hatelisting for them if you hate them too..lol. After many unsuccessful attempts of trying to get my computer to start after I installed that stupid program I was very upset. I can’t live with out my computer! Somehow… I got it to start just now…. after like… 20 tries in the timespan of yesterday and today. I would have died without it, especially since today was the last day of school! (SUMMER!) I think the memory is going crap on this computer… I’m going to get my mom to have to friend look at it for me and hopefully add some things for free
If she can’t fix it, then I am going to call a professional- for sure. I’ve already looked some up in the yellow pages. It seems like computer problems love me. It feels good to be back online though!
I’m still yet to see the new Harry Potter movie! I want to see it sometime this week. This weekend is my visit to see my cousin’s new baby! I’ll be gone all weekend for that. My aunt is going to take my mom and I shopping while we are there also
Ciao!

EEE! I found my band hat!!
Take a look at my lovely cam pic to see me modeling it for you! lol. For a second I thought it had been lost! Celeste and I went digging through the bucket of marching band hats from last years show to find ours. I’m using mine as a prop tomorrow to recite some lines in Romeo and Juliet. I’m so happy I found my hat!! The hat I wore through every marching band show last year.. The hat I sweated in… the hat that eventually caused my forehead to break out.. I love my hat!
lol. Yeah, I’m a sentimental freak. My feather is still in perfect condition too
I’m going to be wearing this thing for the rest of today…. and maybe I’ll wear it tomorrow to school too because I have to bring it as a prop anyways. lol! I’m going to try to concentrate on my homework now. I just had to express my joy about finding my band hat. lol! School ends in two days and I really have to cut down my online time until it’s over, because a great many things are due on the last days!

I just had this nice post all written out and b2 went and deleted it for me! I guess I’ll rewrite what I can: I spent most of this weekend working on my website and such. Basically being a perfectionist and nit picking at little things. I did however, trick out b2 with some neat hacks (without Caleb!
) lol. I managed to add clickable smilies, word count, and even fix up the b2 template a little. I love b2, except for the fact that it just deleted my blog. After short notice I went over to Brianna’s house. We swam, ate dinner (deer meat!), and sang karaoke. Brianna’s boyfriend refused to sing so he just watched us, lol. When I told my mom I ate deer meat she said, “You ate Bambi!?” and so I replied, “Yeah, Bambi tasted like steak.”
I stayed at Brianna’s house until around 11:30PM. I’m yet to start my many geometry homework assignments and finish memorizing a passage from Romeo and Juliet. I’ll do that tomorrow. I will! I can’t wait until school ends, only three more days!

Tonight was grad night. Nothing was good about tonight except the huge-pick-up-swing-around hug I got from Danny
lol. Other then that it was just all around sad. The band played Pomp and Circumstance (the graduation song) about a trillian times for the 400+ grads. Then came the speeches. As the people walked out I noticed that the senior scholars got to wear a special white robe and hat. Each one was recognized for their high GPAs. I made up my mind right then and there that in 3 years, I was going be be in that white robe. No doubt. You’ll see. The seniors played one last song with the band as Deanna (our graduating drum major) conducted it. Then came the tears. It was truely amazing when the principal told the students to flip their tassles to the left side of their hats after they received their diplomas. (When the tassle is on the right, it means they are a student.) Everyone threw up their hats and one even went flying toward the band. Even though it wasn’t my graduation I still felt really sad. As if that wasn’t enough, I found out that Bree, my section leader, wasn’t going to do marching band next year. She was the best section leader ever! I’m going to really miss her next year
I felt slightly out of place when everyone started to cry. I didn’t know any of the seniors well enough to cry. None of the flutes graduated, but next year a lot of them will. Technically, I’m officially a sophmore now. Where did the year go? Some of the GPAs of the senior scholars were just incredable/ridiculous. This year the validictorian had a 4.87 GPA. That’s crazy. Some people were a position less then the person in front of them by only a matter of .001. Amazing. I swear, you will see me in one of those white robes when I graduate. I’d be happy with just a 4.0! I can’t believe there are only a few more days of school left. It’s unreal, although I’m glad to have a break from everything.

I just got home from the end of the year concert/awards ceremony. I want to tell you all about it but I have to do it fast because I still have a spanish speech to memorize for tomorrow! Report time was 5PM for all jazz band members, I arrived -for the most part- on time. Although a lot of the trombone players came in late some time afterwards. When I got there I realised I had forgotten my jazz band music! Great. I had to use Brianna’s phone to call my mom so she could drop them off for me. I felt so bad because I was walking in and out of what was supposed to be our before-concert practice. Right when I was walking back into the rehersal with my music it was quiet. Apparently Mr. Bluto was talking to the jazz band about how it wasn’t tolerable that so many members were showing up late- or weren’t playing. Whoops. It wasn’t my fault..well technically it was since I’m the one that forgot the music at home, but oh well. Jazz band was up first to perform and I thought we did a pretty good job. I was surprised to find out that not a lot of people knew I was playing trombone. When awards for jazz band drew near I was anticipating myself winning the ‘Most Improved’ since I had just begun playing trombone. I heard that quite a few people voted for me too, although I guess our teacher had the most impact on the votes because I didn’t win. Mychael got the award for most improved. I guess he deserved it because he was doing a lot better on his solos. After jazz band awards I received my first year pin for being in band a full year. Concert band performed next and I think we could have done better. To be honest, I was quite disappointed with the performace at the time.. but then again you can never tell because it’s very hard to hear the band as a whole on the stage. I was mad at myself for awhile because I messed up this one part in Pirates of the Caribbean. First flutes were supposed to play this slurred melody of sixteenth notes and I was practically the only person who even attempted to do it. I was mad because I must have skipped a few notes and ended the slur about a measure early…*sigh*. I had a couple of hours to get over it though. lol. More awards were handed out before the Wind Ensemble performed. They were excellent, as usual. Mr. Bluto talks to me as if he knows that I’m going to be in it next year. Hopefully there we be a flute opening! Senior recognition was done after that, and it was then that I realised that this would be our very last concert together! The whole concert/awards ceremony went by so slowly, yet ended too fast! I saw Danny on my way out, apparently he was standing through the whole thing! He told me good job and I returned the compliment- then he gave me a hug!
I hardly expected that at all… it’s funny how now he is starting to notice me when I used to like him before. Anyway, it was a nice way to end my night because it made me happy
Band camp starts in two weeks so… you never know..lol. I don’t know the proper way to end this but by just saying that I had such a memorable time with the band this year and I hope that next band year will be as much fun as this one was!

My birthday party just ended! It was great! My friends and I went bowling, then we came back to my house for karaoke. The party was supposed to end at 2 or 3 but it didn’t end until 6PM. lol! At first I was doing really good at bowling, but it all went downhill from there, lol! I came in last place on every game with a score of like… 40. I did however, make a few strikes. We gave each other nicknames such as: Spiffay, Pinky, Badabada,.. and other weird ones that I can’t remember at the moment. Everyones name was changed to something else at one point in time. lol.. someone changed mine to “Geoff’s lover”
heh, someone changed Kelley’s to “You’ll never have Irvin!” lol… funny times. These guys were making fun of us a few lanes down, it was hilarious. Whenever we would make a strike, or not hit down a pin at all we would all yell for each other..lol, so the guys were screaming like girls for each other. It was funny. We bowled for about 3 hours and then played some video games. After that it was back to my house for karaoke. Rose and I should make a CD. I swear.. it was so damn funny. I would be singing and she would be screwing up the song so badly. It was hilarious. I have it all on tape too
. lol! I got a lot of gift cards and a cute purse. The gift cards are for the mall, bath and body works, and best buy. 25$ each.
I can’t wait to go shopping now. lol. It’s been such a fun filled day!
I’d like to thank Caleb for fixing up my commenter plugging hack, since I messed it up badly..lol. Speaking of Caleb, he has an awesome new domain up so click here to go see it! xoxo.

I’ve been lazy all weekend. That’s really bad too since I have a lot of work to finish for school on Tuesday. Thank goodness there is no school on Monday
Speaking of Monday… that’s the day of my birthday party! I can’t wait. We are going bowling and then coming back to my house for karaoke. I love karaoke. Anyway, I have a few things to do before then. Such as, wash the dogs, take a shower, work on homework, study for finals, etc. It’ll all be worth i
